OwenJames Events

Summary:

OwenJames is an events and membership organisation serving financial services distribution leader. It’s built on Statamic CMS and combines a marketing website with a member dashboard that syncs live with Creatio CRM, plus event management, RSVP handling, and a though-leadership content hub.

Owen James runs high-value, invite-only events, and their business runs on Creatio, a CRM platform, to manage contacts, events, and attendee data. My job was to give their members a self-service web portal without creating a second, disconnected source of truth.

What I built:
– A member dashboard where delegates log in to see their upcoming events, confirm attendance details, choose sessions, flag dietary requirements, and track what they still need to complete before an event.
– A live two-way sync with Creatio, so that when the events team updates something in Creatio (a new event, a session, a delegate list), it appears automatically on the website — no manual copy-paste. And when a member fills something in on the portal (a preference, a dietary need, an RSVP), it’s pushed back into Creatio so the events team always has an up-to-date picture in the system they already use day-to-day.
– New members are automatically set up with a portal account the moment they’re added in Creatio.
– The public-facing site, including event listings and a content hub of thought-leadership articles (“Findings”) tied to specific events, plus RSVP and email-tracking flows for event invitations.

The overall value: it removes a manual, error-prone step between “what’s in the CRM” and “what members see and submit online,” which matters a lot for a company running premium, relationship-driven events where getting attendee details wrong is costly.
